Harvest Fest

Time to think about the Harvest Fest already!! Wow-time does fly!! Hope everyone's summer has been as pleasant as ours. The weather has been a sweet change although it has slowed everything in my garden a bit. Well, maybe that was the hail that set it back but it has returned quite nicely. We are looking forward to another fun year with all our friends and family. Looking forward to making new friends as well so load up and bring someone along that has not had the opportunity to spend a day in the country with us!

What to expect in 2009

The Kammerer's 6th Annual Rush Lake Harvest Fest & Open Poultry Show is set for Saturday, September 19, 10:00-4:00pm. Located 10 Miles North of Wall.

The Open Poultry Show has been a big hit so we think why break tradition? Of course, there must be food so I better talk to the cook and see what's cookin'. In the past the hamburgers, corn on the cob, ribs, etc. have been great. And I have not forgotten Peggy's well received breakfast rolls and coffee. I really hope the pumpkin patch starts showing some orange by then. I'm sure if July's patch does not have plenty, David's will pull through and Jean everyone loved the Heirloom tomatoes last year. There has been kid fun in the past such as digging for treasures in the sand, beanbag toss for gold fish prizes, and thanks to Joel our lawn mower got real tired pulling the train. What next? Maybe some pumpkin and face painting (that was cool Lori-we're praying for you) and what better then to have a photographer on the premises to capture the moment. I'm thinking Open Goat Show, and an Open stage for talent (demo's, talks, music, magic, poems, etc.) We are also looking for a group or groups to tend the Petting Zoo. We have the animals but lacking man power.
